Six months ago I wrote about the 462 lots in zip code 29072 which were for sale on the Multiple Listing Service. The number of lots for sale today has jumped to 567 - an increase of 23%. The bulk of this increase appears to be from new lots available in the Hampton Park (off Barr Road) and Woodmill (off Corley Mill Road) neighborhoods. Over half of all of the lots for sale are located in one of these seven neighborhoods: Cherokee Shores, Hampton Park, Hope Springs, Kingston Harbour, Lexington Heights, Scarborough Parish, and Woodmill.
Let's take a look at all of these lots in further detail. The two least expensive lots are $15,999 for 0.29 or 0.39 acres located in Corley Woods. These prices seem too good to be true for the 29072 zip code and that's b/c they are (email me if you want more information on that...). Throwing these two lots out, the real least expensive lot is $29,000 for a 0.13 acre lot in Palmetto Courtyards. The most expensive lot is $2,827,000 for 6.49 acres located at 1563 Corley Mill Road - most likely a commercial-zoned property. The median priced lot is $78,500 for a 0.32 to 0.48 acre lot located in Wilmont.
