Lake Murray Water Levels

Lake Murray is in the back yard of many residents in Lexington, SC 29072. And many others make it their playground for swimming, fishing, boating, etc. In recent years, the lake's water level has fluctuated a good bit. Most of this was due to SCE&G's Backup Dam project, but more recently the water shortage was just a result of the low rain levels at the rivers which feed into the lake. The lake is considered "full" at 360'. As of today, the current lake level is about 357'.

You can keep track of Lake Murray's water level at SCE&G's Lake Murray page or, for a more detailed analysis, at U.S. Geological Survey where you can see both current and historical data on the lake.
